Our History
Celebrating 40 years!
Founded in 1980, Metcalf began as Metcalf-Zier Archaeology, Inc. with a staff of six professional archaeologists. The company, based in Eagle, Colorado, operated in the Rocky Mountain region, occasionally on the Northern Great Plains, and surrounding areas. Mike and Sally Metcalf, company founders, shared a passion for having fun while doing interesting and high quality research. This spirit, combined with a strong service ethic and focus on client needs, started the company off on a very strong foot.
